Lake Munmorah High School recognises that one of the best ways of increasing student learning outcomes is through the development of PLPs for all our Aboriginal Students.
We know it is essential that:
- All parties are involved — teacher, student and parent/caregiver — and we know that for success we all have a direct stake in what is happening for the student.
- We are all talking together about something real and paramount to support the student's learning.
- We have a chance to identify and then work together on issues that may affect the student's school performance.
'PLPs map the pathway that a student needs to follow to achieve learning goals at least commensurate with standards expected for all students. PLPs describe a clear destination for the student in terms of goals for learning. They identify the potential obstacles that might impede a student getting to their goals, and chart a course through them.' The What Works Program 2013.
