Lake Munmorah High School Wellbeing Hub
We are excited to announce that the Wellbeing Hub is open.
Located in E106, and in the back corridor of E block, the Wellbeing Hub aims to connect and re-engage students with the school learning community.
The Wellbeing Hub will be a place for students to access teachers to assist them. Staff who will be based in the Hub include the School Counsellor, the Head Teacher (Welfare) and the Student Services Support Officer.
The Hub will be the venue for the delivery of structured programmes such as Rock & Water, Mindfulness, Cool Kids and Seasons for Growth. These programmes enable the development of healthy, successful and productive individuals.
Open during break times, the Hub will be a place for students to socialise with their peers. Different activities will be available, such as a pool table, board games, or sitting quietly on bean bags. A sensory area will also be available for students who may need some time out from the hustle and bustle of the school day.
Supporting students to develop their capacity, reach their potential and ensure their wellbeing are key objectives of the Wellbeing Hub. Students are encouraged to access the Hub to develop important strategies for managing their behaviour and to feel supported in their time at school.
