Welcome to Team Science!
Here at Lake Munmorah High School, our Science Faculty is always striving to find new and exciting ways to educate and engage our students. Even though Science is a mandatory subject in years 7-10, it doesn't mean that we can't make it fun!
STEM (Science, technology, engineering and maths) is the pathway of the future, and here in the Science Faculty, we hope to encourage all students towards this path.
Our varied curriculum includes opportunities such as excursions, science celebration nights, week long activities surrounding science week, practical opportunities in the laboratory, exciting demonstrations (often explosive!), and the chance to experience new technologies such as droids and drones. For more information on some of these past activities, please click on the ‘celebrations' tab.
Senior Subjects
In 2018 we are running 4 Science subjects. These are:
Biology – the study of life
Chemistry – the study of atoms and their interactions
Physics – the study of movement
Senior Science - A sampler of each type of Science.
If you are interested in any of these subjects in 2019 and would like to know more, talk to your Science teacher about it, or attend the subject information night which will be held later in the year.
